(IndochinaKings) The best example of the beauty of the Buddhist architecture of Luang Prabang on the northern tip of the peninsula of Luang Prabang, Laos is the Wat Xieng Thong Temple (Temple of the Golden City). This Wat Xieng Thong Temple, built in the year 1560, is a masterpiece decorated with mosaics and carvings in wood that Nam Khan raises next to the Mekong River and the River in the historic centre of the city of Luang Prabang, Laos.

(IndochinaKIngs) Wat Si Saket (or Sisaket Temple) is probably the oldest temple in the Lao capital still standing. But it’s newer than it looks, having been built in 1818–so many of the others have been the victim of a string of wars in the 20th century. Just across the street from the Presidential Palace and just a block from the Mekong River, it’s most famous for its collection of 2000 or so ceramic and silver Buddha statues on display in its cloisters.

(IndochinaKings) Wat Preah Keo Morakot (Silver Pagoda), the pagoda's official name is Preah Vihear Preah Keo Morakot, is located in the southern portion of the Royal Palace complex. The pagoda was formerly known as Wat Uborsoth Rotannaram because it is where the King worshiped, prayed and practiced every Buddhist Silas Day. In the additional, the royal family and officials also held Buddhist ceremonies there.This pagoda has no monks.

(IndochinaKings) Pha That Luang is a gold-covered large Buddhist stupa in the centre of Vientiane, Laos. That is the most important Buddhist monument in Laos. It's a huge golden stupa, built in the year 1566 and it took 6 years to build. Since its initial establishment, suggested to be in the 3rd century, the stupa has undergone several reconstructions as recently as the 1930s due to foreign invasions of the area. It is the most significant Laotian religious and national monument. It is situated on a hill about three miles north east of the center of Vientiane.

(IndochinaKings) Wat Phnom - translated as "hill temple" - is the tallest and most important temple in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh. The temple, first constructed in 1373, was erected on a manmade, 88-foot-tall mound overlooking the city. The pleasant garden around Wat Phnom offers tourists and locals alike a green respite from the noise and chaos on the busy streets of Phnom Penh. The attractive grounds are used for concerts, festivals, and once a year becomes the epicenter of the Cambodian New Year celebration.
