Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Minh is known as an expert in the fields of health economics, scientific research methods, and medical statistics. After graduating as a general practitioner from Hanoi Medical University in 1994, Mr. Minh found special inspiration in Public Health and began to pursue his passion for research to contribute to the development of the Vietnam medical system.
To equip himself with professional skills, Mr. Minh studied at Sweden’s Umeå International School of Public Health in the years 2000-2001 to study for a Master of Public Health; Doctorate from 2002-2006, and post-doctoral studies from 2007-2010.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Minh has more than 25 years of experience in scientific research and health economics. He is an expert in the fields of health economics, scientific research methods, and medical statistics. He has led more than 20 national scientific research projects in cooperation with universities and research institutes in the US, UK, Sweden, Switzerland, etc.
Prof. Minh has published more than 160 scientific articles in scientific journals and is the team leader of typical national and transnational studies on Research on health systems and health economics; Research on health equity and influencing factors; Evaluation of medical technology, etc., in which many research works have been successfully applied in practice, were highly appreciated by the Ministry of Health for its usefulness for the development of the industry.
