The Xieng Khuan Buddha Park is located, just past the Friendship Bridge and 25 km southeast of Vientiane, the capital of Laos.

The park is popular with tourists because it houses a 40 meter reclining Buddha, the largest cement statue in Laos. Other attractions in the Buddha Park include statues of gods, animals, humans and other characters that have a high symbolic value in the Hindu and Buddhist religions.

From Vientiane you can get to the Buddha Park by tuk tuk which will cost you about 700 bht

The entrance fee will cost you 5000 Kip which is about 0,60 US Dollars or 40 Euro cents which is practically nothing. You do pay an extra fee if you want to bring your camera. This amount will come down to 2000 Kip which is 16 Euro cents or 24 US Dollar cents.

If you enter the unusual giant pumpin structure which is very hard to miss, you’ll find a set of stairs leading you to the top of this statue. You enter the cement pumpkin through the mouth of a giant dragon demon head making your way up to the roof alongside numerous statues. Once op top you will be rewarded with a view over the entire park.
