With a capacity of 23,200 spectators, the Arthur Ashe Stadium, a tennis stadium with an outdoor retractable-roof in the Queens borough of New York City, US, is the largest of its kind in the world.

The stadium is part of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

The Arthur Ashe Stadium is not only the world's largest tennis stadium by capacity but also the main stadium for the fourth and fifth final Grand Slam and US Open tennis tournaments.

The stadium was officially opened in 1997 replacing the Louis Armstrong Stadium as the main venue for the tournament. Arthur Ashe Stadium is named after the world-renowned professional tennis player Arthur Robert Ashe.

A retractable roof was installed in 2016 following years of event delays due to inclement weather conditions.
