Hydro Extruded Solutions is a manufacturer of extruded aluminium profiles.
Sapa Group (now Hydro Extruded Solutions) is the largest aluminium extrusion-based solutions company in the world, counting 100 production sites in more than 40 countries, and employing 22,800 staff.
In October 2017, Hydro ASA completed its $3.2 billion acquisition of the company with Sapa becoming a business area within Hydro called Extruded Solutions.
With this acquisition Hydro has become a fully integrated aluminium company with operations spanning from production of primary aluminium, rolled and extruded products and recycling to extraction of bauxite, refining alumina and generating energy. Hydro's head office is located in Oslo, Norway.
