Sappi Limited, originally incorporated as South African Pulp and Paper Industries Limited in 1936, is a South African pulp and paper company with global operations.

The company is now known as Sappi and is headquartered in Johannesburg, it produces and sells commodity paper products, pulp, dissolving pulp, and forest and timber products for Southern Africa and export markets. It is the world's largest producer of dissolving pulp.

 

Sappi Southern Africa operates five mills and has a combined production capacity of 102,000 m3 of structural lumber, 690,000 tons of paper, 665,000 tons of paper pulp and over a million tons of dissolving pulp per annum.
