Developers won in the Ukrainian finale of the International Climate Launchpad Climate Innovation Contest and secured investor support, reportsEcoTown.com.ua.

The author of the idea is the industrial designer Ilya Kichuk. Effa's Kofunner Darina Vasilenko is responsible for PR and development of the project on foreign markets, and Konstantin Shcherbyna – CTO. Eco-brush is made of recycled paper and covered with a thin layer of lamination on the basis of organic plastic, which protects it from premature soaking. Even if the brush is not disposed of, but thrown away, it will become a useful fertilizer for the soil.

The bristle is made of nylon, because according to the recommendations of the Association of Dentists, other materials in brushes can not be used. However, bristles will be separated and disposed of. And used in an environmental brush nylon decomposes faster than other types of plastic. Effia packaging is also environmentally friendly – it is made of a thin layer of recycled paper and dissolved in water. The cost of a toothbrush will be less than 7 euro cents.

The developers do not plan to sell their brush in Ukraine, but will enter the European market. This is explained by the fact that our country does not have such an eco-project interest, few understand the importance of environmental and environmental concerns. In Europe, this has already become a trend and most startups deal with the environmental issue itself. In addition, there are no capacities in Ukraine that could provide the necessary volumes of production.
