In a meeting between the Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, Phoeurng Sackona, and UNESCO representatives from the organizations headquarters in Paris, France, both parties pledged commitment to work together towards the conservation of various sectors and culture in Cambodia.

In the meeting, various points of interest were discussed, in particular the progress of the conservation of both tangible and intangible cultural heritages. The preparation of Koh Ker Temple’s induction into the ranks of the World Heritage Site, the registration of Cambodian intangible cultural treasures on the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity List, and the inscription of Battambang City as a creative city were also discussed.
