Vinh Phuc ICD Logistics Center project has a scale of more than 83 hectares, total investment capital of nearly VND 3,800 billion, the design capacity of customs clearance about 530,000 TEU per year, located in Huong Canh town and Son Loi commune, Binh district Xuyen, Vinh Phuc province, invested by T&Y Superport Vinh Phuc Joint Stock Company (a consortium of T&T Group and Singaporean partners, YCH Group and YCH Holdings) as an investor.

Notably, to match technology trends in logistics and the development needs of container transport, integrating with the strong trend of containerization of countries in the region as well as globally, Vinh Phuc ICD Logistics Center applied the world’s leading modern IoT technology, such as using robots to automate in warehouses and modern electronic computer control systems. The schedule and information of containers coming and going from the center will be digitized and sent to the control center using existing information networks.

The project will be put into operation and exploitation phase 1 from the third quarter of 2022; complete construction investment and put phase 2 into operation from the first quarter of 2023 to the fourth quarter of 2024.

According to a representative of T&T Group, Vinh Phuc ICD Logistics Center is expected to open a breakthrough in Vietnam’s logistics, towards the goal that by 2025, logistics costs in Vietnam will be reduced to 16%-20% of GDP and the contribution of logistics services to GDP reached 5-6%.

In addition, this will be a support for the seaport system, helping to reduce pressure on the port system; creating favorable conditions for industrial parks and factories in consolidating, packing goods, and carrying out customs clearance procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient supply chain. Thereby contributing to promoting economic and goods trade between Vietnam, ASEAN, China and other international markets; and forming a training center for human resource training in the smart high-tech logistics supply chain 4.0.

With the fierce competitive pressure of international trade, the race in technology continues to create competitive advantages, save time, optimize costs, be responsible, be flexible and reduce risks. High technology such as the Vinh Phuc ICD Logistics Center project is not only a necessary condition for industrial production, but also an essential link to reduce trade costs, increase stability for businesses, and contribute to promoting trade growth in countries.
