Phally held a meeting yesterday which saw the participation of representatives of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration, provincial departments concerned, cities, districts, besides the Sihanoukville Chamber of Commerce and coastal tourism operators in the province.
He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Sen, the economy is reviving post Covid-19 pandemic, including the tourism sector.
He added. “That is why Cambodia has been selected to host the convention of the most beautiful beach club in the world to be held in Sihanoukville in December 2022, along with the Sea Festival.”
The 9th Sea Festival will be held from December 9 to 11, and the convention of the most beautiful beach club in the world from December 9 to 14.
The Provincial Administration has roped in various departments and specialised units to make the two big events successful.
To further promote Sihanoukville as a secure tourist destination, tourism businesses are encouraged to consistently implement safety regulations, minimum operating standards, and health measures.
Kheang Phearum, Provincial hall spokesman, said that the provincial administration is all set to host the event.
Taing Sochithkrisna, director of the Provincial Tourism Department, said that the department will conduct more training courses to develop human resources in the tourism sector to ensure quality services and hospitality involving local people and relevant departments.
