We are Indochina’s longest-running international photography event, and believe in supporting the vibrant and dynamic photographic community that has arisen in Asia. We strive to be a space for promoting Asian contributions to the medium and language of photography.

Hosted in the beautiful city of Siem Reap, Cambodia, home to the magnificent temples of Angkor, we are centrally located and easily accessible to photographers in Asia. This has helped us to become a melting point of ideas and encounters, with attendees from all over the region gathering at our annual festival each year.

Our programme consists of professional workshops, public exhibitions, projection evenings, and other professional activities aimed at creating a space for interaction, exchange and dialogue with a focus on Asia.

More than a decade after we began, key members from our community of tutors, alumni and festival veterans have come together for the first time to form a new Asian-majority organising committee. The diverse 13-member committee, created simultaneously with Jessica Lim stepping in as the new director, comprises of six alumni from our professional workshops. This reflects an organic evolution that has taken place since our inception and brings us closer to our goal of a self-sustainable model led by Asian photography professionals.

The Angkor Photo Association is a non-profit cultural association registered under 1901 Law in France. All our events are free to attend, and open to the public.
